Thursday will be the first Thanksgiving Kory Crossman’s shared at home in nearly 30 years.
He got out of prison in January and without the help of his mentor, Jon Ponder, and the Hope for Prisoners family, Kory says he likely would have been back behind bars by the 4th of July.

My career is rooted in technology roles. I worked in corporate IT for 11 years and had a successful career ranging from being an individual contributor or IT Manager to an Enterprise Architect. I was happy with my career and the money I made; however, I realized that I would have to give a lot more of myself to reach my full potential to keep climbing the corporate ladder.
UWM’s TechEd Frontiers has consulted with industry leaders across Milwaukee and beyond in developing learning pathways that can have the biggest impact on companies and their employees. An Industry Advisory Council was established to support the mission and vision of TechEd Frontiers. The group of leaders provides input and recommendations regarding learning pathways from an industry perspective. Members are providing a talent development perspective of a broad cross section of employers in southeast Wisconsin.
